Window study 1

So as you might have noticed I have not been exactly active recently and there are several reasons for that, one of them being I have just recently moved apartments - I am going to spare you the details, but the thing is, after a good 17 years of living up on the 8th floor I have moved down to the first - and it's one hell of a difference. Now, there is something magic about looking at the world from above  - I had the entire town in my view from my bedroom in my old apartment, and I mean, the town itself was not the most beautiful thing but still, the bird's perspective is pretty sweet. Now I am sitting down here, I can see people passing under my window and trust me, I have freaked out pretty much at the first random woman stopping to greet me - that just doesn't happen up in the sky, the best you get is birds, so unless I want to keep my blinds shut at all times I sure do miss my privacy, but then again there is something about the contact with the ground too, especially the sun spells.
This is the first attempt to catch one of those moments. My impressionist's skills are seriously lacking as I gotta admit I am not the fastest painter, this was drawn using the view from my window as ref only, no photo reference  - it took me over half an hour to draw, which is clearly more than enough for the sun position to change. I am not exactly happy with the outcome, but I am uploading ti nevertheless because it is something I would like to try doing again in the future and it would be nice to have a series of pictures up.
